DAYLIGHT SAVING CATCHES MANY BY SURPRISE

Daylight saving has officially started in NSW, but the switch seems to have caught many by surprise.

Several stall holders at the weekly Tweed markets turned up an hour late and had mixed opinions about having to change the clocks.

“I forgot all about it, didn’t remember until I got here.”

“We were an hour late and our opposition has the jump on us.”

“I don’t like daylight savings, never have.”

“It doesn’t really bother us, we’re farmers we get up early anyways.”

“Absolutely wonderful, think of the energy and sun and everything.”

Daylight saving will run for six months, ending in April.
