The Adam “Molch” Hillier Memorial surf comp got underway this morning following yesterdays lay day.
Unfortunately conditions hadn’t improved, with the groms paddling out to small conditions.
The top three under 10’s progressed, Chex Dempsey, Rory Sophier and Layla Cotterill, among those to secure a spot in the semi final.
The three day event honours the legacy of Hillier, who passed away in 1995, and wraps up at Shelly Beach tomorrow.
