A man has died and a teenager has undergone surgery after a car crash in Port Stephens.
A Toyota Cressida sedan slid on gravel and crashed into a tree on a private property at Girvan at around 4pm yesterday.
A neighbour heard the crash and contacted emergency services.
The driver of the car, a 45-year-old Waratah man, died at the scene.
His passenger, a 19-year-old Garden Suburb man, suffered a broken leg.
