NEW CROSS-BORDER CRIMESTOPPERS COMMITTEE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS

Assaults and property offences are down, around the border and a newly formed cross-border Crimestoppers Committee is now working to keep it that way.

The group will help police prevent and solve crime in the Twin-Towns area and raise the Crimestoppers profile.

“Members of the public will be encouraged to provide information to crimestoppers regardless of whether the offence happened in NSW or QLD.”

The committee is now seeking volunteers to help with fundraising.

“Money we pick up for that goes to buying material we distribute to educate the general public”

An information session is being held at Twin Towns Resort tonight from 6.30.
