Port Macquarie’s Ryley Batt has cemented his reputation as one of the best wheelchair rugby players in the world, after leading Australia to paralympic glory last night.

 

In the gold medal match, the Steelers dominated from the outset against Canada, with a comfortable seven point lead at the end of the first quarter.

 

The Aussies went on to take down Canada 66-51, earning themselves the gold medal.

 

Batt scored an impressive 37 goals, taking his tally to 160 over his London paralympic campaign.
