An investigation into the misuse of work email accounts among Hunter New England Health employees, has resulted in 14 staff being fired, disciplined, or in some cases resigning.
The non-clinical staff, all from the New England region, were identified after an extensive investigation found they had sent, stored, displayed or regularly received inappropriate content via the accounts.
Hunter New England Health says it’s maintaining a hardline approach on the misuse of the organisation’s email system.
