75 workers were forced to evacuate an industrial site at Tomago, north of Newcastle this afternoon, after a toxic chemical spill.
Emergency services were called to a Laverick Avenue business at around 2:30 – promptly setting up an exclusion zone.
There were significant traffic delays around the site this afternoon, especially for those trying to clock-on at nearby businesses.
