After more than 18 months under wraps, the clocktower at Newcastle City Hall has finally been uncloaked.
Scaffolding has been removed, to reveal a fresh new look.
The clock’s mechanism and bell have been restored, while its sandstone facade has also been replaced.
Meanwhile, the city’s new courthouse will be officially unveiled on Monday.
It’s taken two years to construct the seven-storey, $94-million building on Hunter Street.
The courts will begin sitting on February 22.
