For the first time at local government elections in Bellingen, an all female ticket will contest September’s poll.
Headed up by long time environmental campaigner, Caroline Joseph, the ticket will also include former Southern Cross University chief, Dr Rosie Wickert.
The Global Carnival’s Bryony Taylor and the valley’s Kath Auger are also seeking election on the independent women’s grouping.
All of the women have been involved in campaigns to improve water quality in the shire.
“Our main vision I would say our collective vision for Bellingen is clean water for fish and human health.”
