PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD EXTENDED FOR HUNTLEE DEVELOPMENT

The public comment period for the controversial Huntlee New Town project has been extended by two weeks.

The Planning Department has given the community until July 31 to have a say on the proposal.

It comes after the developer was asked to provide the government with potential contaminated land and Aboriginal heritage information.

The $1.5-billion plan features 7,500 new homes and a town centre near Branxton.
