Very sad events , Alcohol what an evil drug something that has changed two peoples lives forever . very sad for family and friends
Regarding the Death of Kingscliff Local man Kelvin Kane, Alcohol or Drugs is No excuse and they have effected 3 families and children, and taken the life a of We as locals are so saddened by the Death of Kelvin and the horrific way he has died, by the actions of two drunk men running a muck and hassling patrons of the Hotel on the Sunday night, in which the two men thought they were heroes, I say life in Goal for taking a life in such a meaningless gutless way and then run away to leave him to die, Justice for Kelvin has to be done, and the Kingscliff community.
It should not have happened, Craig Field and his mate had been drinking at the pub since midday, and were already intoxicated from the previous night.
What has happened to Responsible Service of Alcohol, (R.S.A.), Very sad outcome but some responsibility should be directed towards the Kingscliff pub and the licensee.
It is not the first fight happening in result of excess alcohol being served at the pub, and, unfortunately it probably won’t be the last.
