The State Emergency Service has issued a flood warning for the Namoi River.
Farmers are being advised to secure pumps and other equipment and prepare to move livestock.
The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted that a flood height of 5.3 metres will be reached at Wee Waa on Tuesday.
