The Gold Coast Blaze could still play in the NBL this season, after a mystery season member offered the half a million dollars needed to secure the side’s spot in the competition.
A statement was posted on the team’s Facebook page this morning announcing a proposal has been put to the NBL with the assistance of Gold Coast Basketball, Council and State Government.
The Blaze’s future now rests in the hands of Basketball Australia.
It’s believed a decision on whether the body will accept the submission will be made late next week.
