Newcastle Art Gallery received a special delivery today – with the arrival this year’s best Archibald Prize entries.
Late this afternoon, gallery staff were busy unpacking 41 works, which will be unveiled at tomorrow night’s official opening.
It’s a rare honour for the gallery, which last exhibited the pick of the Archibald Prize back in 2005.
This year’s display will run until the 26th of August.
