MORE CUTS TO GRAFTON GAOL – THIS TIME IT’S THE NURSES
Fifteen nurses at Grafton Gaol have been offered redundancies.
It comes just four days after 92 prison officers were told they were facing the sack.
In April, staff were assured the prison would be staying open and that no jobs would be lost.
It’s another economic blow for the Clarence Valley, and follows the sacking of 200 abattoir workers last year and more than 100 Telstra call centre staff in 2010.
