Prison officials at Grafton say they’ve foiled an escape plan from the city’s gaol after discovering irregularities in a section of brickwork.
When officers inspected the wall they found bricks had been removed and reset with fake mortar.
The wall was easily disassembled, revealing a hole big enough for an adult to squeeze through.
A cavity between an outer wall contained tools made in the prison wrapped inside a T-shirt.
