MAN CHARGED AFTER ECSTASY FOUND IN CAR

Police have charged a man after allegedly finding more than 100 ecstasy pills in a car in Lismore.

On Monday night officers pulled over a ute on the Bruxner Highway, driven by a 22-year-old male, and allegedly found the tablets.

The driver and his 25-year-old male passenger were arrested and taken to Lismore Police Station.

The driver was charged with supplying a prohibited drug, while the passenger was questioned and released.

The 22-year-old was refused bail and will reappear in Lismore Court on 19 June.
