In a major win for the Quirindi Grasshoppers, the side has secured reigning Group 4 player of the year, Chris Vidler, for the 20-16 season.
The frontrower will be the captain-coach, after leading West Tamworth to this year’s first division grand final.
The appointment is Vidler’s second in three years, following a season with Manilla in 20-14.
To play for Quirindi though, he’ll be forced to give up his Greater Northern Tigers representative jersey.
