A 43-year-old inmate of Grafton Gaol has been charged with attempted murder,after allegedly striking another prisoner with a metal object.
The 24-year-old man sustained critical head injuries and has been airlifted to a Brisbane hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
His alleged attacker will appear in Grafton Court on Monday.
