Police at Grafton have cautioned two children over claims they were the subject of an attempted abduction earlier this week.
Police say claims by a young boy that he had used his skateboard to fight off a would be attacker were untrue.
Inconsistencies in statements from the boy and his sister revealed the entire story was fabricated.
No further action will be taken by police.
