ARMED CARJACKING ON CENTAL COAST

A man was threatened with a firearm and a broken beer bottle in a carjacking in Gorokan yesterday afternoon.

At about 4:15pm the 24-year-old driver of the car was sitting in his Holden Berlina outside a medical centre on Wallarah Road.

A man, beleived to be in his late teens or early twenties, walked up to the car and demanded he get out.

The driver ran into the medical centre to alert authorities when his partner, a 23-year-old woman, was dragged several meters by the car as she tried to stop it.

The car’s registration is BZU 11M and was last seen travelling east on Wallarah Road.

The man is described as being of caucasian appearance, aged in his late teens or early twenties, about 160cm tall with light-brown hair.

He was wearing a blue tshirt, beige shorts and a cap.
