FREE RANGE PIGS IN DISPUTE

An ongoing dispute over odour emanating from a piggery near Bowraville has once again come before the Nambucca Shire Council.

Neighbours of the free range piggery in the rural area at Tewinga (PRON: T-WINGA) have complained about pollution coming from the site since 2009.

However, council claims a report into the problem has found the piggery is operating within acceptable limits.

” That indicates that there was instances of pig odour crossing the boundaries of the site on two other properties so the council has provided a copy of that report to the pig farmer.”
