A second person has been found dead in a Tweed street in less than two weeks.
The man believed to be in his 40s was found slumped in a chair on the footpath of Sands Street this morning.
He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
It comes just eight days after another man was found dead a few hundred metres away near the Tweed Centro shopping centre.
Although toxicology reports haven’t been released, police suspect a bad batch of drugs could be to blame for his death.
It’s believed both men were residents at a nearby halfway house.
Drugs are not believed to be linked to this morning’s death.
