It could cost Lismore Council up to $2,000 to repair the city’s only Liberty Swing which was damaged by vandals at Nesbitt Park.
Worth $40,000 it allows children with disabilities to enjoy the freedom of the swinging, while still being in their wheelchair.
It’s now being repaired.
“I was disgusted and so disappointed I thought our community was better than that.”
Council hopes to have the swing back in use in a few weeks.
