Residents in Throsby Street Tighes Hill, woke to a loud crash at about 10.45 last night, when a Holden Commodore took out a safety barrier on Bryant Street and careered down an embankment into the backyard of a house.
The car wiped out a chicken shed and came to rest in a garage, causing considerable structural damage.
Residents say they saw the driver get out of the car and run off.
