A good result for Casino’s Shane Newstead, taking out the New South Wales AMCA Sedan Championship at Lismore Speedway over the weekend.
Australian Champion Campbell Hughes lead the race early on, with Stuart Hall hot on his tail.
But Hughes’ title hopes ended in the final few laps when his tyre blew.
That gave Newstead the opportunity to make a winning pass on Hall in the final laps.
Hall held on to finish second, while Jason Dreaver rounded out the podium.
