Despite facing some stiff competition, Sawtell golfer Emma De Groot says, she’s taking plenty away from her first tournament on the USLPGA Futures tour.
The 23-year old’s campaign got off to a solid start, making the final cut of the Florida Classic.
But in blustery conditions, De Groot shot a six-over 78, to finish seven-over for the tournament, placing 58th overall.
“I really enjoyed my week I enjoyed the girls that I played with, you know it was nice being surrounded by people that are trying to do the same thing that you are so it was a good week and I’m looking forward to a few weeks time when I come back down to Florida to play again,” Emma De Groot said.
