A 24-year-old Port Macquarie man has been extradicted to Queensland to face charges relating to the murder of Gold Coast singer, Tony Williams.
Matthew Cox appeared in Port Macquarie Court this morning where Queensland police made an application for his extradiction.
Police allege Cox murdered Williams at his Mermaid Beach unit almost three months ago.
The man’s arrest at Port Macquarie yesterday comes after an extensive investigation involving Queensland and New South Wales homicide police.
Cox is scheduled to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on March the 24th.
