LONG ROAD AHEAD FOR REPAIR WORK
Taree Council today reminded the state and federal governments that it’s still waiting on an estimated $19-million in funding from last year’s June floods.
It described the region’s roads as being in a state of disrepair during a forum organised by the Manning Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Around 130 residents and business owners attended as well as Federal MP Rob Oakeshott and member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead.
Council says the roads are continuing to get worse, and it simply can’t keep up with funding.
