  1. this interveiw forgot to mention that MR Barrett could afford to buy a $14000 car and a $5000 boat in the last 6 months while living in public housing but cant afford to transport his poor child 25 klms for special schooling..yes the minister should reveiw the whole system

  2. I’m one of several parents who have been speaking out publicly about this issue, and while our family continues to be affected by loss of transport, I will not be pushing for Mr Piccoli to lose his job. He is human, humans can make mistakes, none of us are infallible. I can only assume that Mr Piccoli has a family of his own, and I do not want to be involved in that kind of devestation to anyone. I will however be very interested in the results of the inquiry, as my sons driver was among those trying to bring attention to this mess last year. He states that as far back as January last year drivers started indicating that they needed an increase in pay rates because runs were no longer financially viable. No one wanted to hear that, so nothing was done to help prevent this fiasco. I just want Mr Piccoli to understand just how much unnecessary stress he has caused families like ours. Spend some time with some of the families affected by this, and only then can you say you appreciate what we have gone through and then your apology might actually mean something.

  3. These are some of the most fulnerable children in our communites with families that carry more than their fair share of burdens. This should not be happening in our wealthy society. This requires immediate and speedy action .
