The state government will meet the costs of the final stage of Narrabri hospital’s redevelopment.
The federal government announced $27-million for the project in this week’s budget, however it was unknown where the remaining $15-million, needed to complete the upgrade, would come from.
But member for Barwon, Kevin Humphries, says he’s been assured the remainder of money will come from the state government.
The new hospital is expected to be finished by the end of 2010.
