After three days of blood sweat and tears on the green, the Kings of this year’s Summerland Pairs have been crowned.
Victorian bowler, David Wilcox and his Gold Coast team mate, Sean Baker, proved too good in last night’s final against father and son duo, Craig and Aaron Teys.
The champs rolled up with an impressive 12 point win over their north coast rivals, walking away with a final score of 22 to eight.
To win, the pair had to take down 64 other teams and contest against some of the east coast’s best bowlers.
“You have former state champions playing and district and zones champions so it’s a high standard, we get a lot of good bowlers.”
