Several Newcastle families received the greatest gift of all,
with six babies welcomed into the world at John Hunter Hospital on Christmas Day.
Linda Holz and Derek Johnston made sure their festive calendar was clear for the arrival of little Hayley, who came a day early.
Mum and Dad are already planning how they’ll manage the gift giving for birthdays to come.
“She’s probably going to get ripped off, unfortunately! I know what it feels like, my birthday is tomorrow on the 27th so we’ll have to make sure we make an extra special effort to make her feel special on Christmas day.”
