A Sydney woman injured in a car accident near Macksville yesterday,remains in a critical condition at Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital.
The 58-year-old was a passenger in a Toyota Camry which crossed to the wrong side of the Pacific Highway at Warrell Creek.
It then collided with a south bound B-double.
The driver and two other passengers of the sedan also remain in hospital with serious injuries.
The accident occurred on a notorious stretch of highway which has claimed more than 20 lives in the past five years.
