TELESTROKE SERVICE NOW AVAILABLE AT ARMIDALE HOSPITAL

A stroke specialist is just a phone call away, 24-hours a day for stroke patients in the Northern Tablelands.

Armidale hospital has connected to the New South Wales telestroke service, which ensures specialised doctors are always available via video or telephone to assist with diagnosis and treatment.

The $21.7 million telehealth initiative has already rolled out to a number of other regions.
