After discussions with the State government Nucoal mining has decided not to proceed with test drilling on the Upper Hunter property of Ian and Robyn Moore. The issue had gone to the Land and Environment Court and the granting of an exploration licence has been referred to ICAC.
Public support had gathered for Ian Moore who is legally blind and runs cattle on his property at Jerry’s Plains.
