Port Macquarie’s latest world champion has been welcomed home in style.
Damian King flew in from Puerto Rico, proudly showing off his excess baggage, after winning the world Drop Knee Bodyboarding title.
The 32-year -old shared the moment with fellow bodyboarders and friends, recounting his thrilling series win.
“You’ve just got to keep determined and I think that’s the biggest thing. Listen to yourself and your instincts and just keep going, no matter what.”
King won back-to back world bodyboarding titles in 2003 and 2004.
This latest triumph makes him the first to win world titles in both divisions of the sport.
