Mid north coast teachers joined their colleagues across the state in walking off the job this morning.
Around 120 teachers attended a stop-work meeting in Port Macquarie, unanimously voting to reject the 2.5 per cent pay rise offered by the state government.
Similar gatherings were held at venues across the region, with the striking workers tuning in to the statewide broadcast from Teachers Federation president Bob Lipscombe.
