A house at Glendale was severely damaged by fire this afternoon.
Dense smoke blanketed the neighbourhood around 2.00pm as fire took hold of the Manuel Street house.
Traffic around the nearby Glendale crossroads slowed as emergency vehicles swarmed to the area.
Early investigations suggested an electrical appliance may have sparked the blaze.
No one was home when the fire broke out.
