The main event may be at Flemmington tomorrow, but the mid north coast will also have its share of racing action for Melbourne Cup Day.
The Taree-Wingham Race Club’s cup celebration meeting is expected to draw thousands to the Bushland Drive racecourse tomorrow.
The five-race non-TAB program will be a chance for local gallopers to shine in front their home crowd.
There’ll also be plenty of action off the field, including the famous Fashions on the Field competitions.
And of course, all eyes will turn to the TV screens at three o’clock, for the running of that other big race, the 2011 Melbourne Cup.
