The girls hockey team from Taree West Public School is one step closer to becoming state champions, after it defeated Gerringong Public in today’s Hunter round of the New South Wales PSSA knockout competition.
The side will now compete in the semi finals, to be held in Sydney on Tuesday.
It’s the second year in a row the school has made it to the final round.
