HOLMES TAKES OUT 50TH MATTARA SURF CLASSIC

Central Coast surfer Shane Holmes has taken out the 50th annual Mattara Surf Classic, adding his name to an impressive list of winners which includes Nat Young and Mark Richards.
Holmes got off to a perfect start, with his first wave proving impossible to beat.
Umina Beach’s Drew Courtney was never in the hunt after being penalised for paddle interference, but he still put on a show for the judges with this impressive ride.
Kiama’s Rhys Bombaci also spent time in the green room on his way to second place.
