FORSTER UNIT BLOCK NAILED SHUT

The abandoned unit block in Forster where a woman was killed and a man seriously injured from a gas explosion last week, has been boarded up and nailed shut to deter squatters.

The stairwells have also been blocked to prevent access to the top level.

The Little Street property is owned by Housing New South Wales, and management say they’ve been working to sell it for some time.

Last Wednesday night a 32-year-old woman and her 45-year-old partner were squatting in one of the units when the gas explosion occurred.
