Thousands turned out to Hunter Animal Rescue’s Picnic Day today before it was cut short by wild weather.
The horrific deaths of nine puppies late last week, appeared to be on most people’s minds.
“Thats the whole message of today, desex your pets, if everyone out there desexed their pets we wouldn’t see unwanted animals dumped or that particular case brutally murdered it could have been avoided if people got their animals desexed”
Organizers say up to $5,000 was raised to help rescued animals.
