FNC ROADS WINNERS IN NSW STATE BUDGET
Far North Coast roads are big winners in today’s state budget with $151-million allocated for the duplication of the Pacific Highway at Devils pulpit, Ballina and the Tintenbar to Ewingsdale stretch.
Another $40-million will go towards the upgrade between Woolgoolga and Ballina.
A $2 million feasibility study for North Coast Rail has also been announced, which will look at reinstating services on the Casino to Murwillumbah line.
Heath services didn’t miss out, with almost $7-million allocated to complete the Lismore Regional Cancer Centre.
Stage three of Lismore Base Hospital also picked up $4million.
