THIEVES TARGET AQUARIUM

Police are appealing to the public for help, after a string of businesses in Coffs Harbour were broken into over the weekend.

The National Marine Science Centre at Charlesworth Bay was targeted between 2am and 4am on Sunday.

The offenders broke in through the front entrance and ransacked the cash register, but left the scene empty-handed.

Police say the Pacific Bay resort, a few hundred metres away, was also broken into at the same time.

The offenders broke in through the reception building before being disturbed by staff.

Coffs Harbour police are looking for three people, who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
