From nine oclock tonight the Northbound Newcastle exit ramp on the F3 Freeway will close.
It’s to allow work to start on the eastern connection to the Hunter Expressway.
The massive construction job will include a large flyover and several bridges spanning the Mount Sugarloaf range.
Traffic leaving the Freeway for Newcastle will be redirected to the Cardiff exit.
Cars going through to Maitland or south to Sydney won’t be effected.
