The Parramatta Eels have announced they will wear the logo of an online bookmaker on the field next season, causing The University of New England to review its sponsorship contract with the team.
UNE remains in negotiations with the rugby league club to find another way they can maintain their connection.
But the university says sharing brand space with an online gambling organisation does not fit with their values.
The company also has a logo and name similar to UNE’s, which could cause confusion.
