Olympic bad boy Nick D’Arcy is at the centre of another controversy.. This time he’s the alleged victim.
Police have charged 59 year old Gold Coast retiree Philip Stevenson with threatening to murder the swimmer.
It’s claimed Stevenson wrote a threatening letter to D’Arcy- as well as stalking him and his parents.
The Olympian, who heads overseas on Saturday, says.. he’s happy an arrest has been made.
Stevenson is on bail and is yet to enter a plea.
“he was shocked and he was quite…distressed they are serious charges but its something that we’ll now leave for the determination of the courts.”
