AFL ACTION AT SWANS CUP DAY

St Paul’s High School has taken out this afternoon’s regional final of the AFL Swans Cup played at Port Macquarie’s Stuart Park.

After a hard-fought battle in the first half, the boys stormed home to win the match by 20 points over Kempsey’s Melville High.

The action on the oval was fast and furious, with back-to-back matches played in 10-minute halves throughout the day.

The under 16s tournament also featured teams from Camden Haven and Port Macquarie high schools and St Josephs Regional College.

The St Paul’s side will head to Coffs Harbour later this month to compete at the next level of the statewide competition.
